“In 2006, we undertook the construction of our home in the Villages. Our contractor recommended Jason Boehs and Greenedge Lawn & Landscape to design and construct the landscape plan, including landscape walls to tier the property. A large challenge to say the least, Jason and his team constructed walls of native Ledgestone, tiered planting beds of stone, and rock steps to accentuate and compliment the natural stone and brick exterior of the home. Not only a very large task, to construct no less than five retaining walls throughout the property, but to enhance the natural ledgerock shoreline by capping with ledgestone to blend the lawn into the lakefront. The walls were completed during the winter of 2006/2007 when temperatures were very extreme. Despite tempertures as low as 10 degrees, Jason and his team persisted to complete the project on time.
In the summer of 2007, when the structure was completed, Jason returned with his team to complete the construction of the planting beds, lawn, and installation of the plant materials. Additionally, Greenedge completed installation of all landscape lighting. Jason used uplighting to enhance unique construction feature of the home and rock walls in addition to the base-lighting of trees. A unique feature of the lighting is moonlighting in treetops on the lakeside of the property. A very unique approach to enhancing the overall warmth of the property at night.
The home was featured in “Lake Lifestyles” magazine in the spring of 2009 as well as being on the Newcomers/Longtimers Parade of Homes the same year. Many comments were received regarding the use of natural materials to create a tiered property, all as a result of the Greenedge team. Many people have commented how natural and beautiful the lakefront of the property is with the use of ledgestone and strategic plantings.
We are very happy to endorse Jason Boehs and Greenedge Lawn & Landscape. A truely professional organization and people that we enjoy doing business. Jason’s team continues to provide regular maintenance. He designed it, built it, and has a major interest in keeping it looking great!”
